The grape vine, and those who have one in their garden will know, is by nature a creeper and loves to spread its leaves and tendrils wherever it can. Out in the vineyard it’s a very different story; in the depths of winter, it’s the wine makers job to prune and stunt growth, thus reducing yields yet improving the quality and intensity of the grapes.
