We recently visited the impressive Ramon Bilboa winery in Haro, Northern Sapin and were very fortunate to be given a personal tour by Carlos Delage, Wine Ambassador and Area Manager for RB in Europe. The attention to detail and scale of on-going investment in the winery is truly spectacular and the resulting wines are a testament to this.
We discovered that while not marketed as such, Ramon Bilbao wines are in fact both Vegan & Vegetarian since they do not fine or filter. Our range of RB wines will also have a new addition this autumn: Vinedos De Altura, a Limited Edition Rioja made from 50% Tempranillo and 50% Garnacha, quite different from anything you might have tasted and described as: 'Just a few old vineyards from the highest areas in Villalba de Rioja and Tudelilla have been chosen for this “oenological somersault” where the Atlantic tempranillo and the Mediterranean garnacha meet up and talk.' Our take on the resulting wine: incredibly fresh and pure tasting - a wine of great complexity - watch out!
